Localisation

Localisation refers to the process of adapting a product to a specific locale. Each locale can be added on demand, when your business is ready. The amount of work required to add a locale varies, and is dependent on several factors:

• Regional variations, e.g. British English versus American English or variations in Spanish around the world
• Directionality and other script requirements, e.g. Left to right, right to left or top to bottom

Internationalisation

Internationalisation refers to developing a product so that it can be localised, adapting to different regions and languages. Internationalisation is a very important requirement, one that has a significant impact on the development of a product. If a product has an international future, this should be brought into the design process as early as possible.

We develop all our products with the underpinnings of internationalisation in mind. Experience has shown us that this saves time and money during developments, as it simplifies low level decisions, at no extra cost.

Translation Services

We work with third party translation service providers, such as SDL, to provide translation services. We can arrange for translations to be performed autonomously, when changes to your primary language website content are implemented. Alternatively, we can arrange for your primary language content to be translated on a schedule matching your business requirements.
